WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN IT'S OVER or "I'M NOT GOING TO BE IGNORED,DAN"

Sunday afternoon at a friend's house, there are 4 tables of 4 people playing spades. The music is cranked up,when a Brooks and Dunn tune,"You Better Kiss Me, 'Cause Your Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone", comes on.

Talk at our table, in between hands, turns to broken hearts and getting even. The topic eventually became a group discussion among the other tables.

Several women admitted to joining the, Fatal Attraction club and getting even with the jerks that broke their heart. Some of them were doozies, and I spotted at least 1 woman taking notes.

A couple of the men as well admitted to crossing over to the dark side and shared their tales of revenge.

Among those discussed:

SUGAR IN THE GAS TANK SEEMED TO BE MOST POPULAR.

MAKING A PROFILE OF THEIR "JERK" on DONTDATEHIMGIRL.COM

SENDING COPIES OF INTIMATE EMAILS TO THE GIRL/BOYFRIEND'S, GIRL/BOYFRIEND OR, IN SOME CASES, SPOUSE.

SENDING TAPE RECORDED PERSONAL CONVERSATIONS TO A GIRLFRIENDS NEW BOYFRIEND.

SENDING PHOTOS OF A LOVER SLEEPING IN A MOTEL ROOM TO HER HUSBAND.

ORDERING MAGAZINE'S,SIGNING UP FOR BOOK/CD/DVD CLUBS...FRUIT OF THE MONTH....

SHOWING UP AT THE BOY/GIRLFRIEND'S HOME UNANNOUNCED TO CATCH THEM IN THE ACT.....

SHAVING A SLEEPING LOVER'S "PRIVATE" AREA, THEN SUPER GLUE IT TO THEIR AUTOMOBILE ( HOW DEEP CAN SOME PEOPLE SLEEP?)

Those were just the tip of the iceberg.

I didn't have too much to add to the conversation. Not that some of those things (AND MORE) have never crossed my mine, they have.

I choose to handle things differently.

I want to walk away with my pride and self respect still intact, and with my head held high.

I don't want to waste my time or energy on someone who isn't worth it.

The best revenge is living and loving well.

The best revenge is in not allowing the actions of someone else to define who we are, or who we become.

The best revenge is not in getting even, the best revenge is in knowing that you didn't lose anything....on the other hand, THEY LOST EVERYTHING.

Have you ever indulged in a little revenge or getting even?(KINDA...SORTA...ONCE AS A TEENAGER....I MAY TELL THE STORY ONE DAY)

Can you think of any revenge or getting even songs?(SEE BELOW)

"YOU BETTER KISS ME, 'CAUSE YOUR GONNA MISS ME WHEN I'M GONE" -BROOKS AND DUNN

"KISS THIS"-AARON TIPPIN

"AIN'T YOUR DOG NO MORE"-BILLY RAY CYRUS (I SO LOVE THIS SONG)

"FAIRY TALE"-ELVIS

"BEFORE HE CHEATS"-CARRIED UNDERWOOD.

IN CLOSING: SAVE THE DRAMA....FOR YO' MAMA....

 LIVING IN HARMONY

I need to have balance in my life.

I need to live in harmony with myself.

Living in harmony is when the things you think, the things you say, the things you feel and the things you do all match.

So many times, I am thinking one thing and saying another.

I'll say:

"Oh, that's alright", or "I don't mind", when what I am really thinking and feeling is:

"No. That isn't alright", or, "Heck yes, I MIND!"

I'm sure we all at one time or another do that. But, why? To avoid confrontation....? To avoid hurting another person's feelings or making them feel bad....all the while closing the door on how we really feel and not acknowledging our own feelings.

Are we less important than the other person...? I have always heard, if you can dish it out, you best prepared to take it.

How can you live your life in harmony if you are surrounded by people who are walking, talking contridictions?

Words are easy to say. It is so very easy to say, "I love you", "You are important to me", or, "I'll be there for you". Easy to back it up if that is how you really and truly feel.

There are NO contridictions in the TRUTH. On the other hand, next to impossible to back it up (on a consistant basis) if it is only words and nothing more. The contridictions between the words and feelings will come to light in actions. (THERE'S YOUR SIGN)

Thoughts-Feelings-Words-Actions must function as 1.

Thoughts become feelings.

Feelings become words.

Words become actions.

As my granddaddy C used to say,"Talk is cheap and bull s**t is free".

There isn't room in my life anymore for contridictions.

If you are going to TALK THE TALK, you best be prepared to WALK THE WALK. And that means, AT ALL TIMES. Not just every now and then or when the mood strikes.

Don't piss on my shoe and tell me it's raining.....

Don't blow in my ear and tell me it's a tornado.....

Love isn't just a word.

LOVE IS ALSO AN ACTION, and that my dears brings us right back to harmony and balance.....

 DEAR ^BELLE^;

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was AWESOME! I promise this week to catch up with you all. Before we get to this week's, DEAR BELLE,I need to rant and rave.

RANTS NUMBER 1:GASOLINE

Gas prices! "Supply and demand", "Supply and demand", or so we have been told is number 1 in determining the price of gasoline. HORSE FEATHERS!

Reading the paper the other day, about a $10.15 per barrel sudden increase, the article made it clear, it had NOTHING to do with "supply and demand", and EVERYTHING to do with a comment made by someone from Morgan Stanley who predicted the price per barrel would be $150.00 by July!

Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

RANT NUMBER 2: EBAY

Ebay has made changes to their feedback policy. Sellers can NO LONGER, leave neutral or negitive feedback for buyers. WTF?

What kind of bloomin' sense does that make?

Now, buyers don't have to worry about paying for items they bid on and win. Case in point: I have been waiting since May 20, to be paid for a ring someone won in an auction.

I give 7 days, after the close of the auction to be paid..There was no contact from this gentleman at all. I sent reminders asking him to please communicate with me, tell me if there was a problem, understanding that things happen. Nothing. 10 days later I filed a did not pay dispute. He sent an email requesting my mailing address to send a money order. That was on May 31. How long am I supposed to wait?

EBAY has dropped the ball on this one!

********

DEAR BELLE:

Got any tips for saving money on my food bill?

ANSWER:

Yes. Coupons is one way to save some money. Only clip coupons for the items that you will use. Some supermarkets have Double Coupon day and it could be worth your while. Other supermarkets sometimes have special, Buy One, Get One Free, days.

If you shop at Wal-Mart, they will match the advertised price of local competitors. Just take in the sale paper from the other store, and present it to the cashier when you are checking out and they will match the price.

I use a lot of ground beef and chicken, so when I find it on sale, I stock up. Ground beef can be divided into 1 pound portions, placed in freezer bags and frozen.

The same thing goes for chicken. A local supermarket places their chicken breast on sale for .99 a pound about once a month. When they do, I snap up about 3 or 4 packs. Most of the time the breast are huge...so I place 1 per bag, they can easily be halved and make 2 portions.

Also, rather than buy a precut chicken, buy a whole one and cut it up yourself at home. The same applies, to boneless, skinless chicken breast.

DEAR BELLE:

I'm in a rut with meal time. Same old things over and over. Any suggestions for something different, quick and easy?

ANSWER:

Sure. Here is something my son, LOVES.

TACO RICE:

Brown 1 pound of ground beef, drain fat, add 1 package of Taco Seasoning (as per directions). To that, add precooked instant rice. I use the 2 and 2 (2 cups water,2 cups rice). Mix together, let simmer for about 5 or 10 minutes.

To serve, top with shredded cheese, sour cream, (basically any taco toppings are good on this). Serve with warm tortilla chips and a can of refried beans.

(This is also good with shredded chicken instead of ground beef. You can make the chicken yourself, or pick up a roasted chicken).

****REMEMBER, IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION FOR, DEAR BELLE, SEND IT TO ME VIA A PM.

QUOTES:

They keep saying the right person will come along, I think mine got hit by a truck.”

****

Woman was taken out of man; not out of his head to top him, nor out of his feet to be trampled underfoot; but out of his side to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved”

***

According to a recent survey, men say the first thing they notice about a woman is their eyes, and women say the first thing they notice about men is they're a bunch of liars”

***

A man reserves his true and deepest love not for the species of woman in whose company he finds himself electrified and enkindled, but for that one in whose company he may feel tenderly drowsy.”-GEORGE JEAN NATHAN

***

Women always worry about the things that men forget; men always worry about the things women remember”

***

“He who tries to forget a woman, never loved her”

A woman has got to love a bad man once or twice in her life, to be thankful for a good one”-MARJORIE KENNAN RAWLINGS
