INSIDE THE FLAME

 Soft Place To Fall

Therapy, to me,is alot like pulling at a loose thread that holds together a giant quilt.What happens when I unravel it? Do I want to unravel it? Should I unravel, or should I let it be?

My emotions are all over the place. I can't seem to find a balance. My therapist says this is normal considering that I have years of unresolved issues and emotions.

Lately, I feel more like a little girl,quickly wounded and feelings easily hurt, instead of the 40 something grown woman that I am supposed to be.

I also find much like the little girl I once was, wanting to cover my eyes and find a place to hide until the storm passes.

I love this song by Allison Moorer. It provided the background for one of the most touching, sensual, romantic and powerful scenes in a movie ever, all without words, only music, in The Horse Whisperer.

Here is to soft places to break the fall.

Artist/Band: Moorer Allison
Lyrics for Song: A Soft Place To Fall
Lyrics for Album: Alabama Song

Daylight has found me here again
You can ask me anything, but where I've been
Things that used to matter seem so small
When you're looking for a soft place to fall

Don't misunderstand me, baby, please
I didn't mean to bring back memories
You should know the reason why I called
I was looking for a soft place to fall

Looking for a soft place
Nothing more than a small taste
Of a love that ended long ago
Looking for a place to hide
A warm bed on a cold night
I didn't mean to hurt you
No, no, no

Looking out your window at the dawn
Baby, when you wake up, I'll be gone
You're the one who taught me after all
How to find a soft place to fall

You're the one who taught me after all
How to find a soft place to fall

 LETTER TO A RAPIST

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I was shocked to see your name in the paper, especially in the obituaries. The familiar name took me by surprise as it announced your death.

For many years I wished you were exactly as you are now. Pictured myself spitting on your grave as your soul burned in hell. And, yet, now, for some reason, I am sorry. You had a family and people that loved you.

There is also relief associated with your passing. No longer will I have to look over my shoulders or wonder where you are or when my path will cross with yours. I also, feel a tad guilty about that.

You took something from me. Something I took a lot of pride in, something I intended on giving the man I would marry. Something that can never be replaced. Something I have nightmares about. Something that was violent and brutal. Something I will NEVER,EVER,EVER FORGET.

I was 18 years old and you ripped my virginity from me like a thief!!!!!!! Along with my innocence, and peace of mind.

Having said all of that:

I FORGIVE YOU.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.

**Colo.....Thank you so much for once again being there for and with me. For helping put things in perspective. Words can never fully express my deep appreciation to you and for all you have taught me about forgiveness and life.

Later Ya'll...^Belle^

 SCAVENGER HUNT:Find My "Pannies"-An Idea From-TAYLOR

Time for a scavenger hunt.

Your mission, if you choose to accept is very simple. Find my "pannies".

My "pannies" have been hidden in the guest book section of a blog.You have to find out which one.

I will start you off with 1 clue.

Once you find that person's blog, go to their guest book for another clue.

The clue can be a reference to their blog title, blog name,blog background or something else.

Just follow the trail through a total of 5 blogs.

Be the first one to find the "pannies", and you can then either pass them on to someone else for them to hide, or hide something of your own.

If you find them on your blog....Shhhhhhh.....Don't tell.

When you do find them. Let me know.

Below is a photo and the first clue to get you started.

 BOX OF SALT

Have you ever looked at something you have seen hundreds of times,and it is like you are seeing it for the very first time? That happened to me just a few minutes ago.

I reached for the box of Morton salt, as I have done numerous times to fill the salt shakers. Placing it back on the shelf, I studied the familiar image of the girl under the umbrella while rain pours all around her.

A thought came to me. During the storms in my life, when troubles and trials come my way, God has been my umbrella. As long as I hold onto HIM, he will shelter me. Not to say that it won't rain in my life, but when it does, my faith and trust in Him will get me through. Not really sure why, but just wanted to share this insight.

PSALM 91: 1-10

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD,
He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,
and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand;
but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold
and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge,
even the Most High, thy habitation;

10 there shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

**This is one of my favorite Psalms. Often when I find myself afraid, or wake up alone during a nightmare, I picture myself covered with HIS feathers and under HIS wing.
